1st Choice Alpacas was started in October 2007 after selling our Seattle alpaca farm (previous farm name: Island West Alpacas, started in 2001) in order to provide a greater collection of services needed by the alpaca community. We are happy to provide you with this full range of professional alpaca services for your success.

• Alpaca Sales
  - Select from our multiple award winning animals. Our alpacas are well trained for easy handling and come with complete medical and registration records. If needed we will gladly offer you training and care tips for your new alpacas. See our FINANCING page to review some of the methods we offer.
  - Sales include a free re-breeding if needed to our herdsires or herdsires from a partnered farm.
  
  
• Live Birth Guarantee
  - 30 days live birth guarantee on crias born to your purchased pregnant animals.
  
  
• Boarding
  - We will give your animals full care and attention here on our farm. Our full time care staff will treat your alpacas like family! You will be kept up to date on all information on your alpacas. Boarding includes regular care and feeding, toe nails trimmed and continued attention.
  
  - Free boarding is available for 6 months for animals purchased from 1stChoice Alpacas.
  - As an investor you can purchase and board your alpacas under our care while your investment grows!
  - 1st Choice Alpacas practices bio-security measures. All incoming animals must be certified BVD free and fecal tested.
  
  - Boarding Special! - Our rate for full normal care is only $2.50 per day. This fee includes full time care, quality hay and grass to graze, top quality grain/supplement from Puget Sound Veterinary Group, plenty of space, toe nail trimming and regular weighing and status reporting.
  
  - Move-in Special - alpacas boarded with a 12-month contract paid in advance receive the 1st month free!
  
  
• Showing
  - Does your alpaca have the "Right Stuff" to win in competition? We can show your boarded animals for you! Build your alpaca herd and your show history even while boarding at 1st Choice Alpacas. Animals must be boarded here for 3 months in advance of a show to qualify for our training and showing service.
  
  
• Breeding
  - Select the characteristics you need from our multi-award winning herdsires.
  - Breeding fees include up to 3 months of boading for your female alpaca and her cria.
  - Ask about our mobile and "Drive by" breeding options and $ave.
  
  
• Brokering
  - The 1st Choice Alpacas ranch will help you sell your quality alpacas with quality marketing, programs and the effort which gets results!
  - Our multiple "open farm" events, marketing and followup will get your animals sold with halter and care training included to the new buyer.
  
  
• Training, of You
  - We can teach you the day-to-day handling of your alpacas with one-on-one sessions and Care Clinics.
  - Monthly clinics are held for free. Paid specialty clinics, like the Camelid Dynamics events can always be found on our EVENTS page.
  
  
• Shearing
  - We offer professionally trained alpaca SHEARING services.
  
  
• Skirting
  - Too busy or don't know how to skirt an award winning fleece?!
