Our farm

Our alpaca adventure started in 2002.

Actually, it was probably about 2 years before that when we saw our first pictures of Alpacas. A picture is worth a thousand hmmmmmms you could say.

We purchased 5.75 acres on beautiful Vashon Island, WA in May 2000. As kids, our parents always made "good use" of their land. We felt a similar calling, but had reservations...

A number of large beautiful Cedar and Maple trees adorned our property. It is also home to deer, many song birds, humming birds and  Pileated Woodpeckers. We struggled with touching any of the land. We'd be starting from scratch as there was no barn, fence or even pasture to build upon. We finally settled on a small section which consisted mainly of Alders and brush to create our pasture. The trees were left standing as natural habitat and as shade for the alpacas. Brush was cleared and pasture grasses planted. The whole pasture was just a little over 1 1/3 acres.

In 2006 we purchased our second alpaca farm. Formerly a horse property, this new property is 8 acres of almost all pasture! We have adequate space, a great barn and plenty of room for more alpacas! See our photo gallery for pictures.

Our approach to raising alpacas is to create a small, yet complete and easily managed farm. It's especially important that the farm can be managed simply by today's working families. Alpacas are easy to raise and their needs are pretty simple. Our farm was designed from the beginning to reflect the needs of today's families and the desire for simplicity and a pleasant relaxing experience.

Sales list

We offer high quality Huacaya alpacas for sale. As small breeders, we strive to be selective in our breeding practices to produce the best quality animals in both physical conformation and fiber quality. Additionally, we pay close attention to temperament of breeding stock since we market our animals to other small farms. Animals with good temperament bring pleasure as well as profit to their new owners.
