Local Hotels:
Best Western is has opened a new hotel just 3 miles from 1st Choice Alpacas. See this and other options on our Visit page.

Animal Health Considerations:
For the health of all animals at this event, all alpacas must be tested for BVDV by a PCR or VI lab test and negative results must be indicated on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection. Alpacas from each farm will be separated from other animals and in their own pens. We request that out of courtesy that you do not "introduce" your herd sire to others at this event. Contact us with any questions of concerns.

Marketing Herdsires:
Is it strongly suggested that herd sires come with full health, breeding and show records to share with perspective clients. Attendees are encouraged to arrange for breedings during the Herd Sire Review.

Reserving a Herdsire Space:
Each participant is limited to a maximum of 2 pens which are approximately 10x8 or 10x10, depending upon availability.

Pets: please do not bring dogs or other animals to this event. Contact us if you would like to request an exception.

SHEARING DAY!

Brian is a professional alpaca shearer. You are invited to come to one of our own shearing sessions to see the process yourself and learn some techniques.

We'll put you to work if you're able, otherwise you can "manage" us on a nice lawn chair in the shade.

Exact dates are yet to be determined but will likely be in late April, May and even June or July, depending on animals which come and go from our ranch.
